Layout # 16 & 17 2010 Layout Challenge

I have noticed the days are getting longer, the temperature outside is warming, Spring seems like it is just around the corner! I am not a winter person, so I can't wait for the snow to melt, the trees to bud, and for my tulips to pop up!
Both of these layouts remind me of summer....hope you like them. Both use paper that I have had for awhile. The "Gone Fishing" layout uses paper and sticker embellishments from Provo Craft's Super Slab - Rob & Bob studio. Also added ribbon, paper flower from Petaloo, Orange Peel Stickles and brads. The journalling circle was stamped but I'm not sure who the manufacturer was.
The "Birthday Flowers" layout used CTMH cardstock & B&T paper from Let's Get Together paper pack, CTMH Love Story rub-ons, letter stickers from Carolees, and journalling jot from Scenic Route.

Thanks to everyone for all the wonderful comments on my layouts posted so far! They always put a smile on my face!

Layouts 13,14 & 15 2010 Layout Challenge

I have been caught up with the Olympic spirit and have been spending more time watching TV than ever before! GO CANADA GO!!! I very seldom watch TV, except for The Amazing Race and the odd installment of the Y & R! But I have managed to get some scrappin' time in as well, so here are my latest layouts. I had started these at an all-day crop but finished them up at home....it always seems that I don't have that "perfect" element with me!

Thank You Card

OK, so I have been neglecting my card makers because I have been so focused on our 2010 Layout challenge! I made this card a couple of weeks ago to send to my CTMH Secret Santa and decided to wait to post it until after I was sure she would have received it. You never know who is lurking around these blogs!! I used the design from our Winter Idea Book, pg. 30 but used mostly papers from my scrap bin. Ribbon is CTMH as well as photo hanger. Flower is from Martha Stewart crafts, sentiment is from CTMH "For Every Occasion"

February Workshop and Layout # 12

Happy Valentines Day! I am a little late getting this layout posted and I apologize to all those who have received my newsletter and came here looking for it this week. This one of the layouts we will be doing for my workshop on the 27th and was "lifted" from our Idea Book. It features the Veranda paper pack, True Friends stamp set, Soul Mates stamp set, Abundance Borders set, and Spot On Backgrounds set, Spring Blossom Just Blooms flowers, acrylic shapes from Connections Club rewards, CTHM inks, Fiskars Threading Water border punch, and brads. I still have journalling to do but at least you get the idea!!

Layout #10 & 11 2010 Layout Challenge

I am enjoying scrap booking with a great friend via web cam.....it has been a great motivator for both of us and we are getting so much accomplished and keeping each other company while we work away! If I could figure out how to chat with all my friends at once using my web cam, it would be like having a party in my scrapbook room! Anyone know how I can do that?? Hmmmm, might not get any scrap booking done though!

The first layout uses the new Basic Grey "Origins" paper, rub-ons from CTMH, Starform peel-offs (guitar), arrow from Scenic Route die cut sheet, Clear Sakura jelly roll pen, Jumbo Java Dew Drop ink, Fiskars Threading Water punch, Bazill card stock, My Acrylix Star Struck stamp set from CTMH.

The second layout has a card stock base that was stamped with Versa Mark using a stamp set from Fancy Pants. The patterned paper is My Mind's Eye "Bloom & Grow" collection. The chipboard letters were painted with Tim Holtz dabber paints, then sprayed with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist, ribbon is from BoBunny (I think) and the journaling card is from Little Yellow Bicycle "Summer" pack, spritzed with Glimmer Mist as well. Flowers were cut out from the patterned paper.

Layout # 9 2010 Layout Challenge & Song Challenge

This is a layout that I just did for one of my gatherings. Lots of little "techniques" - paper pleating, made our own glitter brads, 2nd generation stamping, paper tearing, distressing. The title comes from the Taylor Swift song "Love Story" which was another challenge issued by the gal who started all of this! All products are Close To My Heart except the organza ribbon which came from Michaels and I used Fiskars "threading water" punch on the border.
I entered this layout in the Fussy and Fancy Friday Challenge - Heartshttp://fussyandfancychallenge.blogspot.com/2010/01/challenge-2-hearts.html

Layout #8 2010 Layout Challenge

I'm back from my trip to Nova Scotia to see my family.......my Mom loved her quilt and was so happy to see my son and me. It was hard to leave her after only four days but I'll be visiting again in June when my brother gets married.

It took me awhile to get caught up looking at everyone's posted layouts, you guys were busy while I was gone!! This layout was very simple but I love the picture of my husband and his cousins "kissing" at a wedding. The paper is from Making Memories, title was cut with my cricut, lip stickers came from a boxed calendar from a couple of years ago. The heart sticker came from a dollar store (shhhh).
I also joined Fussy and Fancy Friday's blog challenge to use hearts on a project.http://fussyandfancychallenge.blogspot.com/2010/01/challenge-2-hearts.html
