We hope that you will take the time to leave comments on our posts, as we love to get feedback from our viewers....Thank you… now on to our hop!

If you have just hopped onto my blog, you can start here as this is a circular hop, but if you want to follow us across Canada then please start at the beginning and join Michelle at mycreationswithmichelle.blogspot.ca. If you came from Michelle's blog you are in the right place.

I have a couple of cards to show you today!  With a Spring theme, how could I not use "Brushed" paper to create a bright & cheery card?? I have wanted to try this "sunburst" technique for quite a while now, and one of my very creative shoebox gals (thanks Cheryl!!) brought this technique to the table.  That inspired me to use these papers for these cards:

By just changing out the sentiments and ink colours, I have three slightly different cards.  I used M1043 Spring Wreath and C1605 Happy To Be Friends with black and pear inks to stamp the sentiments.  I like the bright colours on the black cardstock, it reminds me of stained glass.

I also wanted to do a Mother's Day card and after seeing a class photo from the Cutting Garden in Halifax, I was inspired!  I loved the card they had offered so much, and knew I could duplicate it with CTMH products (although this stamp set is retired).  No patterned paper on this one, just stamping, embossing, and Cricut cuts!

I started with a piece of White Daisy cardstock and embossed it with Z1927 Damask embossing folder.  The next step was to stamp B1418 Love Doily (retired) with Versamark ink and heat emboss it with White Daisy embossing powder.  A little ink applied with a finger dauber lifts the image right off the cardstock.  The sentiment comes from our Artfully Sent cricut bundle stamp set - The butterfly and small flower were cut with our Art Philosophy cricut cartridge ....then added a white daisy cardstock banner, a little bling and a paper clip!

Your next stop on the Cross Canada Hop is Nicky's blog - www.timelesscottage.ca. If you get lost along the way, you can head back to Michelle's blog

Thanks for hopping along with us - we hope we were able to inspire you to get creative using some of the designs, products and techniques seen along the way. We hope you will join us again next month when our theme is Scrapbook layouts from CTMH How-To Books.  Mark May 15th on your calendars and hop along with us.

Card Class - see what you are missing!

Hi there! These are the three cards we created this month in my card class....had a brand new "student" who went home very pleased with herself that she was able to create these on her first time out.  You can do it too.....I will show you how!  These were created with the beautiful Ivy Lane paper pack that is available HERE.  We used our new Damask and Quatrefoil embossing folders as well - I am so happy that we have these as part of our product line....opens up a whole new world of creativity to us!  So here they are:

And a closer look at each one:

So, perhaps you'll join us this month as we create three more beautiful cards with another of our great CTMH paper packs - Balloon Ride.  See you soon!

Hostess Club Layout

My hostess group is an awesome group of ladies, we've had lots of fun creating layouts together.  Last month we did a "10 Things" layout which I haven't photographed yet, and this month we did a layout right out of the CTMH Idea Book....page 95 to be exact.  The colours are different because I "CASed" fellow consultant Susan William's choice of papers and used our Ivy Lane paper pack to create this layout.  Our Artbooking and Art Philosophy cricut cartridges were also used to create this lovely layout. It took us a little longer to make this one, but the results were worth the extra effort!

I love the hexagon overlay and the flowers are so sweet.  All materials used were CTMH except for the punch to do the leaves.  Now to find some photos to add. :-)

If you think you might be interested in joining a hostess club, contact me for more information.

Layout 12 - 2013 Challenge

I am not sure if anyone out there is still participating in their 2013 challenges, but I am still working away at my goals.  Today I am posting a layout that I did as a class, I haven't found the right photos for it yet and I am now challenging myself to get pictures on all my unfinished layouts.  I have a huge stack of them, just waiting for photos to be added!!!

This paper was not my favourite from our current CTMH catalogue, I admit.  However, I really love the colours and the stamping in this and the row of tags is so cute...what do you think.  I was inspired by a layout I saw in a magazine, I am not even sure which one but I love this one!  Features CTMH Buzz & Bumble Paper Pack, sunset, sweet leaf, cocoa, honey, kraft, and colonial white cardstocks& inks, Universal Backgrounds stamp set, Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge. ribbon & button from CTMH.

When did my life become so hectic??? I just realized my last post was well over a month ago so thought I should do a little update, yes?!  I am working outside the home again (quite unexpectedly, but it's been a lot of fun!) at a real estate office - no, I'm not selling real estate, just doing admin work.  And I am still doing my French course two nights a week, as well as my CTMH classes.  I spent a week in Ontario visiting my son, grandson with a quick visit with my step son as well.  I miss them all so much and while I was getting groceries yesterday, I heard a "eewww!" just the way my grandson says it, brought a little tear to my eye.  Now the focus is Convention the end of June....can't wait to go to Orlando and see all my CTMH sistahs!!  I need to get busy on my swap cards.....!!!

In the meantime, here are a few of the cards we did last month at my card class, plus another one I am posting for Ann Marie D. - thought I had already posted it.  Here we go:

For Always paper, Tulle ribbon, smokey plum and slate cardstock & ink, glitter button, twine, and B1419 Joyful Birthday stamp set.

For Always paper pack, B1418 Love Doily stamp set, glimmermist, tulle ribbon, pearl opaque, white daisy embossing powder, twilight ink.

D1398 Just for You stamp set, Avonlea paper pack, Antiqued Copper Designer Brads, Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge.

That's 18 cards so far.....need to work on some layouts.  Ciao for now!

Cards 1-3 for 2013 Layout & Card Challenge

Today I am posting the cards I offered at my last card class.  We used CTMH "Dakota" papers, CTMH inks and markers in barn red, pacifica, crystal blue, blush, sweet leaf, and black.  We also used several different stamp sets including "Rugged Dude", "Words of Comfort", and the January Stamp of the Month "Happy Valentines".  All embellishments are CTMH and we also used our Art Philosophy cricut cartridge and stamps for the pocket insert..

This last card I did for CASual Fridays challenge CFC87: Use markers in your clean and simple creation. Glad to see that most of  my blogging friends are still creating and posting artwork! Thanks for leaving comments - I love to hear from everyone.
