Welcome to The Brae-ers CTMH team blog hop! If you arrived here from Heather's blog you are in the right place on this circular hop.
February is the month of Love.....love for a partner, child, mother, father, friend, the list goes on and on! I am celebrating my love for Close To My Heart this month! This company has provided me with so many opportunities to enrich the lives of others and in return, I have been blessed with friendships that have grown over the years. Many of these friends started off as customers and quickly found a place in my heart. Some friends have also became customers, downlines, one friend became my upline.....but the bottom line is - they are all friends. We share the same passion - recording our memories for generations to come and creating beautiful cards with Close To My Heart products.
Late last year, CTMH teamed up with Creative Live and did a two-day broadcast to share artwork and information about the company. They also created some lovely projects with the studio audience and the first card I have to show you is the card I made while watching that broadcast.
Supplies used: D1668 Charming Cascades, D1627 Your Own Kind of Wonderful, Pink and Gold glitter paper packs; White Daisy, Pomegranate,& Kraft cardstocks, Cotton Candy ink. I forgot to add a few gold sequins before snapping the photo!
The broadcast was recorded and is available to watch for free forever at Creative Live - just create an account and enjoy! Create cute cards and layouts like the ones featured on the show - I can give you cutting dimensions if you need them.
The next card I have for you is one that was brought to our shoebox swap by friend Angela - one of those gals who I mentioned above who started off as a customer and has become one of my best friends. Her original card had a red mat behind the stamped images, mine is chocolate. I love the z-fold insert and the little hearts punched out of it.
Supplies used: D1668 Charming Cascades, C1559 Always Grateful, and D1647 Documenting Moments; Lagoon, White Daisy, and Chocolate cardstock, frame die, heart punch, and Bitty Sparkles

If you have just hopped onto my blog, you can start here as this is a circular hop. If you came from The Brae-er's blog then you are in the right place!
Earlier in the week, I shared the mini album I created using our "Year >> Noted" kit. I had a whole sheet of B&T paper left over, as well as some card stock and gold foil stickers, so this is what I did with it all:
Materials I had left over |
I only added two white daisy card bases to the paper pictured above, and I still have a tiny bit of paper left over, probably enough to make one more card. Fun, bright, and easy to put together!!
Here is the list of CTMH supplies I used, in addition to the "Year >> Noted" paper, to create the cards: Stamp sets: A1170 Doodled Designs, M1051 Wish, C1618 Year Noted, S1501 January SOTM This Moment, C1617 You're the Bomb - Operation Smile set, D1539 The Happy Couple, D1629 Just to Say... (Cricut collection) B1467 You Mean the World to Me; Embellishments: Z1918 Teal Shimmer Trim, Z1985 Gold Shimmer Trim, Z1853 Aqua Dots, Z2012 Gold sequins, Z1701 Bakers twine(ret), Bulk362 Black Enamel Stars, Z2060 Thin 3-D Foam Tape; Z1851 Scallop Border Punch Ink colours: Z2128 Hollyhock, Z2105 Black, Z2195 Lagoon, Z2114 Cocoa, Z2164 Sorbet.Turqoise Blue Shinhan marker

The Brae-er's Team Blog Hop - So Happy with CTMH
If
you have just hopped onto my blog, you can start here as this is a
circular hop, but if you get lost you can find your way by going to Brae's blog for a full list of participants. If you came from Julie's blog, then you are in the right place!
I am "so happy" to be participating in our team blog hop this month. My life has been a little crazy lately and I wasn't sure that I'd have time to get a post together. I did have a hard time trying to decide what to post about since everything about Close To My Heart makes me happy. I love our product, I love the friendships I've made through CTMH, and I love sharing my passion with others. I love the income, the free product, and the incentives we can earn - I truly have the best job I could possibly have. I hope each of you reading this can say the same thing, if not, you need to get in touch with me and I will help you!!
So I finally decided to post some cards because they feature some fun techniques, and that makes me happy. This first one was "lifted" right off the pages of Annual Inspirations and I love the two-tone stamping:
I did change the sentiment and added an acrylic leaf from my stash that is not CTMH. Stamps used are D1604 Season of Thanks and B1449 Oodles of Doodles and D1616 Have a Happy Day. The next card is is one of my favourite cards - I love that it looks like a room divider and our Pathfinding paper is one of my favourite collections! I used the September Stamp of the Month "Family is Forever" and A1146 Sincere Expressions:
And last but not least is this one that features "stamping" with painters tape to create the background, so easy and a great way to create an interesting background:
The stamp set I used for this one is DD1550 Happy Autumn. Hope you've enjoyed the cards and thanks for sharing the love of Close To My Heart by stopping in for a visit!
We hope that you will take the time to leave comments on our posts, as we love to get feedback from our viewers....whether it was something that you really liked or some new technique that was used that you would like to learn how to do. To purchase any of the items featured in our blog hop, kindly contact your local consultant.
Your next stop on the hop is Darcel's blog .....
And of course, I had to share this!!!
Happy Thanksgiving!!!

If you have just hopped onto my blog, you can start here as this is a circular hop. If you came from Sherri Ballantyne of http://sherisays-justscrapit.blogspot.com/2014/02/the-brae-ers-blog-hop-new-stuff-from.html then you are in the right place!
My project features our new Picture My Life Skylark Scrapbooking Program and our Skylark paper collection and embellishments. I love the versatility of the Picture My Life cards and page protectors. Not all of us have time to scrapbook a traditional two-page layout, but these kits help us create our beautiful layouts faster and easier. I have combined a traditional layout on the left, with the Picture My Life complimentary page on the right. What do you think? I wish the colours looked more accurate as this photo really doesn't do the paper justice. You could do both pages with the PML cards and your photos, making your scrapbooking even faster! The 4 x 3 cards also fit perfectly into our 12 x 12 Display Tray as well.
There are eight different Picture My Life Scrapbooking kits and they can be seen here: www.rozkelly.ctmh.com
List of supplies used: X7177B Skylark Paper Pack $9.95, 9037 "Reflections":Triple Play - Offset X7177C Skylark Complements $4.95, Z1947 Picture My Life Skylark Scrapbooking Program $24.95, CTMH chocolate ink, Z1849 Bronze Shimmer trim, Z1151 Foam Tape, Z1812 Sparkles Flourishes, Z1912 Corner Rounder, retired Mocha Opaques.

This month, we are focusing on projects we have made with our new Cricut "Artbooking" cartridge. I chose to do this layout, I couldn't wait to create that hexagon overlay. I mixed and matched elements from a couple of different keys, but I loved how I could just set my dial at one size and cut everything to fit perfectly on the page. I also used some of the "negative" pieces to create the border on the right page.
Don't even ask me about these photos.....what happens at the cottage, stays at the cottage!! LOL
Products Used: All CTMH - Artbooking Cricut Cartridge, Cocoa, Topiary, Honey, White Daisy, & Twilight cardstock & inks, stamp set from Artbooking bundle, Slate Washi tape, Scholastic paper pack, Baker's twine, durables studs.
Your next stop on the hop is Lucy's blog . Thanks for hopping along with us - we hope we were able to inspire you to create your own projects using some of the designs and paper seen along the way. Join us again in next month!!

This technique is really quite easy, you start by stamping with Versamark on black cardstock, then heat emboss with white daisy embossing powder. Then, ink up your stamp again, this time with White Daisy pigment ink, and stamp over your embossed image, offsetting it slightly to create a shadow.
I also inked the edges of my cardstock with the White Daisy ink to complete the look. Papers used are from the "For Always" paper pack, added a little Blush cardstock, a couple of Licorice Opaques, and the pink ball ribbon is retired CTMH.

This month, we are focusing on new products from our CTMH Idea Book. I had already created this project for my recent open house and it uses two of my favourite new products....the My Creations Kraft Container (Z1833) and Hollyhock Zipper Lace (Z1826). I wanted my project to be bright and colourful, so I chose the Chantilly Paper Pack (X7163B).
Cutting the slot in the top of the Kraft container to make this a piggy bank was fairly easy.....the lid can be gently eased apart so that you can work on a flat surface, then I punched two small holes with my cropadile where I wanted the slot to start and finish, then used an exacto knife to join them up. I then added my paper and embellishments and then glued it back in place with a bead of liquid glass around the edge.
