Layout 112-116 2010 Layout Challenge
Hi again folks. So, most of you know that in January of this year I began a challenge with some CTMH sisters to produce 120 layouts this year. Some consultants challenged themselves to more or less, depending on the time they had to devote to this challenge. As the year end approaches, I am feelin' the crunch a little, but have quite a few layouts ready to post....so here we go with another batch! More cruise layouts......only a few more left to post!

Layout 111 - 2010 Layout Challenge
I whipped this up last night as my entry on Design Dollies (http://www.designdollies.blogspot.com/) for their sketch challenge and their colour challenge (black, yellow, & silver)! These colours were perfect for pictures of my DS about to enjoy some "refreshments" on his birthday! The colours are a little washed out in this picture, much more vibrant in real life.
Materials used: Paper from Basic Gray "Origins" collection - Authentic & Aromatherapy, 8x8 paper from Cosmo Cricket "Hello Sunshine" collection, "Tinsel" Thickers, black mirror cardstock, Cor'dinations cardstock, CTMH black cardstock, button "softie" from K I Memories, skull rub-on from Making Memories, chipboard embellishment, silver star brad, silver spiral clip, silver journalling pen.

Layout 106 & 107 2010 Layout Challenge
Do you use an ATG tape gun? Then I have something to tell you before I talk about the layouts. I received a gift subscription to Canadian Scrapbooker from my FANTASTIC friend Kim (lol....do you think she'll know how I feel??) and in the current issue, there is an ad for http://www.stix2kooltak.com/ . They just happen to sell the refill tape for the ATG along with other things, and they just happen to have a 40% off sale happening right now! I placed my order and wasn't charged shipping either!!! Just had to share!
More cruise layouts.....they all bring back such great memories for me. The first one is pretty basic, the photo was from the ship's photographers and although it's the "touristy" type shot, I love this picture of my Mom and I. I have so few of the two of us together. The second layout is from our adventure in Hell! When I came home from our trip, the newspaper that Saturday had this big travel article about Hell in the Cayman Islands. Photocopied, reduced, and reprinted it on cardstock so that I could include it in this layout. Then, a couple of weeks later, my letter to myself postmarked from Hell arrived! Had to include that too! I used more of the MM Passport collection for this one, I think the felt flower strip was from Queen & Co. That's it for now.....gotta go get some gifts wrapped for the mail!

Layout 104 & 105 2010 Layout Challenge
In between decorating the house for Christmas, making gifts, cooking, cleaning, and doing laundry, my hubby and I took some time on Saturday to visit our local scrapbook store - Scrapbookers Anonymous on Portage Ave. We walked in around 3:30 p.m. and the place was packed! They were having a birthday party for one of the ladies who "works" there (and she is obviously well loved!), but there were others like me, just there to shop. It was such a festive, joyous atmosphere and the store was celebrating by having a sale! My lucky day!!! Anyway, they had all the newest paper collections and embellishments in addition to well-stocked shelves with everything needed to create gorgeous layouts and cards. I was in my "happy place" if you know what I mean! lol! If you live in the city and haven't been in to the new location, go check it out!
OK, here we go with some more layouts - I need to get posting if I am going to make it to my goal of 120 for the year! These are both from my cruise album and were duplicated for my Mom's album as well.
Materials - "Paradise" - patterned paper was from Creative Imaginations, bazzill cardstock for matting photos, journalling card from Fancy Pants, laser cut title, sticker from Jolee's, stamped image from Scrappy Cat. "Dunn's River Falls" - MM "Passport" patterned paper, CTMH "Moon Doggie" paper, flowers cut from unknown brand paper, vellum quote from Deja Views, Cricut "Calligraphy" cartridge for title, phrase stickers from Reminisce, border sticker from Creative Memories.

Wow, there's only a few more days left in the month - which means only a few more days until I draw the winner for my blog candy. Welcome to all my new followers, I hope you enjoy being here! You still have some time to increase your chances of winning by sending your friends to my blog! (see original post for details) But now, on to another couple of layouts for our 2010 layout challenge. The first layout was my October hostess club layout, I still need to find some photos for this one! The second I did at a crop a few weeks ago. The photos are 22 years old now but it seems like they were taken only a few years ago.

Layout # 100 2010 Layout Challenge & BLOG CANDY!
I can't believe this is my 100th layout this year.....only 20 to go! When I started this challenge I wasn't completely sure that I could do it but now I know I can! To top it all off, I am celebrating my 1st anniversary of blogging! I think that calls for a little blog candy, don't you? I will photograph and post the picture of the "candy" on Friday, but for now, here is how you can win. Become a follower and leave a comment below to earn one entry - if you're already a follower you will get one entry as well. Then, tell all your friends about my candy giveaway. For every friend that becomes a follower and leaves a comment here indicating that you've sent them, you'll get another entry! If I reach 100 followers, I will add another prize! Man, I feel like Santa Claus! The only stipulation is that only Canadian addresses will be eligible to win due to the high cost of shipping outside Canada. November 30th, 2010 will be your last day to enter!
Edit: OK, the picture of the candy is here for everyone to see! Tons of great winter/Christmas paper including some from Close To My Heart, My Minds Eye (some glitter ones!), Echo Park, etc. Lots of cardstock as well, various brands including CTMH, Core'dinations, Echo Park, & Prism. "Candy Cane" and "Christmas Borders" Cuttlebug embossing folders, American Crafts mini album, CTMH Opaque Pearls, various ribbons and fibers, borders from Bazzill, misc. embellishments.

Layout # 99 2010 Layout Challenge & Christmas Cards!
Wooohooo! Almost to 100!! Another one from the cruise album. Enough said!
The Christmas cards were made using CTMH Jingle and Mistletoe paper packs, My Acrylix "A Timber" and "Holiday Commentary" stamp sets, and I made my own glitter brads with Liquid Glass and Prisma Glitter. Also used: punch from Martha Stewart, buttons from my stash. They were inspired by Jennifer Bennett.
Thanks Kim for your glowing comments on my last post....they warmed my heart!

Layout # 98 2010 Layout Challenge
OK, here we go with some more cruise layouts! I've kind of laid off them for awhile but trying to get them put away once and for all so my next few post are going to be layouts from the Caribbean cruise my Mom and I went on! All these were actually done twice, once for my album and then again for my Mom's. Still only gonna count them once because the second time was just copying. Because I had to do them twice and with limited time, I kept them fairly simple, focusing on the photos and journalling.....which I still have to do on some.
Cardstock and journalling card - CTMH, patterned paper from DCWV "Safari" paper pack and my stash, glitter die cut paper is KI Memories, stickers from my stash and Reminisce.

Layout 93 - 97 2010 Layout Challenge *Swap Spoiler*
This is the second round of layouts I've prepared for Tina Winship's "12x12 Funky Swap". My CTMH sistahs and I have soooo much fun with this swap and it is a fantastic way to get a lot of scrap booking done! I can't wait to get my package so that I can start putting my 25 layouts together and adding photos. (Just a little note: some I still have to find photos for and for my The Outdoorsy Type layout I have to add a big NOT! lol If you know my husband, you'll understand. Love ya honey!)
All materials used are Close To My Heart including stamped images (sets listed below). Some titles & embellishments cut with my Cricut and border punched with MS punch.

Layout # 92 2010 Layout & Design Dollies Challenges
This is another trifecta for the Design Dollies challenges this week! I love playing with the girls at the Dollhouse, it forces me to use colour combinations that I am not overly comfortable with but I always love the end results. It is good sometimes to venture outside your comfort zone. Plus, I usually don't have time to go out and get specific supplies for these challenges so it forces me to use up some of my stash. The colour challenge this week was to use green and silver, the element challenge was to use hearts, and then the layout is based on the sketch challenge. Check out the Dollies at http://www.designdollies.blogspot.com/ and play along with us!
Materials used: Crate Paper patterned paper, ScribbleScrabble patterned paper, silver mirror cardstock, silver heart brads, Sandylion green heart sticker on silver shimmer cardstock, CTMH black marker, black chipboard letters from Scenic Route.

Layout # 91 2010 Layout Challenge, Design Dollies Challenges
I don't really feel like this layout is finished....it needs something but I haven't figured out what yet! Any suggestions? I did this layout Friday night using the sketch and colour challenges from the Dollhouse.... http://www.designdollies.blogspot.com/ . I love this paper from My Minds Eye and I inked the edges in pink but it's a little hard to see in the photo. Not my favourite layout, but another done for the 2010 layout challenge.

Layout # 89 & 90 2010 Layout Challenge
Another couple of layouts towards that 120 total.....
Military Appreciation Game layout uses BoBunny & Basic Grey papers, cardstock & chipboard alphas from my stash, letter stickers from PebblesInc, moose stamp (unknown brand) was stamped as a make n' take at a crop I attended and coloured with Copics. I talked Kelly H. into giving me hers so that I had one for the other page...thanks Kelly!
Halloween layout was actually a little challenge issued to me by one of my CTMH sistahs - Tina!
I had received some of the items on this page as part of a swap (double pages) but I only had enough photos for a single, so changed it up a little. Stamped images are from CTMH My Acrylix "Beware" which I embellished with gunmetal Stickles and Liquid Glass. The black gems came from the dollar store.

Layout # 88 2010 Layout Challenge - Trifecta!
Those Design Dollies http://designdollies.blogspot.com/ are makin' me work! First it was the colour challenge (mauve, navy, tan), then there was the elements challenge ( use a ticket, the color yellow, paint, polka dots, and journalling), and then the sketch challenge! When you combine them all to produce one layout, you get the "trifecta". I had to make my own "doily" using my corner rounder, and my chipboard swirl was painted first with Tim Holtz dabber paint in Denim, then with TH Distress Crackle Paint in Scattered Straw. The base paper for my layout is some old Basic Grey "Oh Baby" that has been in my stash forever. Polka dot paper and tan cardstock are from a Creating Keepsakes Power Pad. Tickets are from Tim Holtz, journalling card and chipboard is Maya Road, distressed ink edges using Outdoor Denim ink from Close To My Heart.

Layout # 86 & 87 2010 Layout Challenge
Last Friday night I attended a crop and managed to get a few layouts done. These are two that I have had in my bag for awhile so it felt good to get them done! It seems like I have a huge stack of layouts that just need that finishing touch, so that's on my list of things to do. That list keeps getting longer though.....
Material used: "Promise" My Minds Eye die cut paper, Bazzill & Prism cardstock, Just The Edge cardstock borders from Bazzill Pink Paislee letter stickers, Basic Grey button, Bazzill bling & paper flowers, flowers, brad, and twill from my stash, hemp from CTMH.
"Signs of Spring" Patterned paper from my stash, Basic Grey patterned paper, cardstock from my stash, Tattered Angels glimmer mist (on the photo mat), cardstock sticker from K&Co, acrylic flower from Recollections, glitter brads, crocheted flower, letter stickers and ricrac from my stash.

Layout # 84 & 85 2010 Layout Challenge
These are my layouts from our Miracle Kit that was featured as a promotion not too long ago. I purchased a bunch of extra kits and will be teaching this as a workshop. The neutral palette used in this kit is wonderful, any photos would look fabulous and the embellishments are customized to accentuate your photos so it pulls everything together! The kit comes complete with all the papers, embellishments, flip flaps, etc to create two double-page layouts!

Layout # 75-78 2010 Layout Challenge Pt. 1 Washington Album in a Day
I created this Washington album using Robin Garrow's 18-1 workshop cutting guide....the second time I've used this now! I love how quickly the layouts go together (like in a day!) so that projects get done, but still look beautiful. Embellishing takes a little longer and I ended up using two whole packages of 4x6 Flip Flaps so that I could get all my photos on without creating more pages. I guess ideally, I could have cut double paper and made 36 pages instead! I am teaching this as a workshop on October 23rd for anyone interested in learning how to do this.
Materials - all CTMH - Passages level 2 paper pack, 4 x 6 Flip Flaps, cardstock in cocoa, barn red, bamboo, colonial white and black, My Acrylix "Live Inspired" & "Tiny Typewriter" , Filigree Charms, Mocha Opaques, photo clips, "Pizzazz" irresistables, "Journey" journalling jots, inks in cocoa, chocolate, and barn red, 1 1/4" circle punch. Non CTMH supplies included grosgrain ribbon and Stone Script, Graphically Speaking, & Alphalicious Cricut cartidges.
