Helloooo there!

Well, I am finally "settled" in my new home after being homeless for nearly a month! We left Winnipeg on the 2nd of July and didn't take possession of our new home in Nova Scotia until the 28th. Spent some time with my Mom, then went to Lake Pleasant for a week, then back to my Mom's. I was soooo tired of living out of a suitcase. I still have some work to do in the house, but it is coming together....we have way too much stuff and I am purging as I go. We have had to make some modifications to things to make them work for us which has slowed me down a little as well. When the sun is shining though, we are in the pool cooling off and enjoying summer - the boxes will be there when it rains! I haven't been able to scrapbook for awhile and I am itching to get my room set up so I can play. I will try to visit every one's blogs to get caught up over the next few days. Hope everyone is enjoying summer!

  1. Hey, Roz, glad you're doing well and getting settled! When we moved to the Yukon, we were in a hotel (actually, 3 different rooms!) for 6 weeks with 2 little kids - it was the most hellish thing I've ever gone through! This move was relatively easy, but so many things are still in boxes, the basement's a total mess, but really, there'll be time when the kids go back to school. And seeing as we're renting, do I really want to unpack if maybe we'll be moving again? Well, hopefully you get some crafty time soon, miss you! Hugs, Roxy.

  2. Hey Roz, glad everything is going well! We had to live elsewhere for a month when we moved back to Regina. We were told we were renting the top floor of a house (friend of my Dad's) for the month and we would just have to share the kitchen and bathroom. When we arrived at midnight (with 2 little kids) we were informed he was leaving to get his kids the next day and they would be there the whole time. We had no privacy and couldn't do anything as his kids never left (they were teenagers). I would have rather been in a hotel but we had 2 very old cats which is why we took the offer. It was a very long month!!!! Glad your getting settled and we are looking forward to seeing your wonderful artwork soon!
