Wednesday, Sept. 13th 6:30 pm- 9:00 pm Kit Building 101 Do you have mountains of paper piling up that you want to get used up? Bring your paper (all you can manage, cardstock as well but not necessary) and I will help you mix and match those papers to create ready-to-use kits, perfect for the next time you scrapbook. I will supply some 12 x 12 bags for the kits you create but feel free to bring a few of your own, or an accordion-style organizer. $10 class fee, space is limited.

Tuesday, Sept. 26nd, 7 pm Card Club - You will make three cards for free with the commitment to spending at least $25 + shipping & tax each month. Members take turns being the "hostess", earning $25 in free product. There are two spaces available, contact me to join!

Saturday, October 21st 9:00 am - 4:00 pm Christmas Stamp-a-Stack with Roz & Tara We are going to change things up just a bit for this event! You will be making 20 cards - 2 each of 10 different designs, for $45. That's only $2.25 per card! Bring your lunch and we will provide a morning snack and coffee or tea. Location is the Melvern Square Hall on Bridge Street, just off Stronach Mountain Road. This event fills up very quickly so be sure to register with your payment to secure your seat! Layout # 33 Multi-challenge!

I have not had a vehicle for the last two weeks, so have had lots of time to play in my scrapbook room.  I have also had lots of time to visit other blogs and have been keeping a list of some of the challenges posted on those blogs.  When I visited Scrap It With A Song's blog and the challenge was Coldplay's "Fix You", the lyrics inspired me to scrapbook this photo taken last summer of my brother and his daughter.  Then I visited Scrapbook & Cards' blog and Summer Fullerton has a colour challenge that fit perfectly with this photo as well!  (http://scrapbookandcardstodaymag.typepad.com/scrapbook_cards_today_blo/2011/09/the-colour-suite-challenge-september.html

Scrapbooker's Anonymous has a challenge to use anything that starts with "B" and one for using chipboard on your layout.




I've used a patterned cardstock base from Quick Quotes Paper - Khaki Collection and matted the photo with yellow, cream, and khaki.  The title is Basic Grey "Sweet" chipboard letters and the flowers are from Bazill bling and paper flower packs.  The "Love" bingo image is from Maya Road Mini Bingo Singelton Acrylic Stamp set and the Jewel flowers are also from Maya Road.   I used a brad in the center of the flowers and the ticket is from Tim Holtz's Ticket Tags.  Epoxy heart sticker is from the dollar store and the yarn was from my stash. 

I love the way this turned out....thanks to the challenges!!

  1. It's gorgeous Roz!! I love the little pops of orange you added!!! I wish I could be stranded at home (with no kids) for a few days!!! It seems like I've been having to go out to get any scrapping done!!
