Layouts 6-8 2012 Layout Challenge

OK, where the heck did the last month go???  Is it just me, or does time seem to go by faster as you get older?  And speaking of getting older, I will be another year older very soon so I thought that perhaps I should give away a little blog candy in celebration of my big day!  Interested??  Watch for a post in a day or two with the picture of the "candy".  For now, here are a few of the layouts I promised.   I have a really hard time using some of my patterned papers, in particular the map and also the die cut paper.  I struggle with how to cut them up and use them, without loosing the "look" of the paper that I love so much.  These three layouts were from a road trip we took a couple of years ago from Winnipeg to Ontario and back again and I couldn't seem to get them done because I wanted to use these papers but couldn't commit to how I would use them.  I finally just did them.  I like the top and bottom ones, not so happy with the middle one.

  Done, like dinner!

  1. The last one is my favorite! Is that a real map? They are all great!

  2. Thanks gals! Jenn, it isn't a real map...12x12 paper that I picked up a couple of years ago...may have been Little Yellow Bicycle but I'm not sure.

  4. Yeah, time does fly by faster the older we get! Ailis keeps talking about how she can't wait to be a teenager, and I keep cringing and telling her, "Noooooooo!" Love your layouts, I think all of them look great and all three work well together, too! Off to comment on your candy post, hugs, Roxy.

  5. I like all of them. I really like what you did with the first one. Using patterned paper is my biggest challenge!
