Layout # 32 & 33 2010 Layout Challenge

OK, this post is for Tracey, one of my fellow scrappers for the past two weekends! Photos were taken in Grand Cayman last March at a turtle farm. The first layout has papers and embellishments from Basic Gray Archaic collection, bazzill card stock, buttons, black flocking, and brown felt "Thickers". For the second one, I used paper from My Minds Eye, the same brown "Thickers", stickers from Jolee's, frame from MME, title sticker from BoBunny, and "Journey" jounalling spots from CTMH . So my only problem with these layouts is: Is Iguanas the proper plural form? It looks funny to me.....guess I should dig out the dictionary.

Layout # 28-31 2010 Layout Challenge

I just attended a fantastic scrappin' getaway in Gimli this past weekend, hosted by Kim from The Scrappin' Studio. My wonderful friend from Ontario (also named Kim) flew here to attend this event with me....along with a couple of my friends from here in Winnipeg. We had a blast, lots of laughs, fun in the hot tub, and managed to get a few pages done too! And one of those friends (not mentioning any names....Tracey) chided me for not posting any layouts here lately! LOL So here you go Tracey!!
The first three are photos taken last year at Capt. Kennedy's Museum and Tea Room near Lockport, MB. My mom was visiting from Nova Scotia and we went for lunch and strolled through the English garden. The paper, titles, embellishments are all from We R Memory Keepers Designer scrapbook pad - Tiffany's, edge punch from EK Success, brown marker used for journaling. The fourth layout is one of those layouts that you put off doing because the photos aren't great or you just don't really know what you want to do, both apply in this case. The pictures were taken on a cruise and it was the first time I had seen a champagne waterfall so I felt the need to include them in the album. The paper is really old paper that I picked up at Micheals and it was supposed to resemble an artist's painting. Topped it with a piece of lace card stock from K I Memories, photos are matted with card stock.
Lots more layouts to come....and I have another day crop that I am attending on Saturday. I hope to get many more done so that it gets me a little ahead of the game before the really nice weather hits and I don't want to be indoors!
89 layouts to go.......

My "MPQ Choice Auction" Basket!

For those of you who missed my earlier post, I am a fairly new quilter, having only machine sewed a few quilt tops at this point. I am now a member of the Manitoba Prairie Quilters, a fantastic group of very talented women who share their knowledge and provide me with tons of inspiration! This year we are hosting a Quilt Show at CanadInns Polo Park on April 9, 10, and 11 which I will not be able to attend because I am in Gimli that weekend scrapbooking with Kim's Scrappin' Studio! But I wanted to participate somehow, so I am donating this basket valued at over $200 for the Choice Auction. If you want to win it, go check out the quilt show - there are beautiful quilts on display, the auction, a boutique where our members are selling handmade items, a couple of vendors, and raffles. I also have tickets for the quilt raffle ("Bali Sea Star" 60 x 71" valued at $695) if anyone is interested. Good Luck!!!

Layout 25, 26, & 27 2010 Layout Challenge

These are the last of the graduation photos, and they use some of the same papers as the other grad layouts posted. I had 8 x 10's done on sale and then hated to not use them! Then there is the layout of my birthday....I am not happy with it but I did use some old paper from my stash. It came from a Paper Pizazz paper pack that I bought a few years ago. Had to have it at the time, now I look at it and wonder what I am going to use it for! LOL

Layout # 22, 23, and 24 2010 Layout Challenge

Aaaack! I can't believe it has been over two weeks since my last post! I am such a slacker these days! I finally finished doing my son's graduation photos....I had made a 9 x 9 album for him to have, but put off doing the layouts for the "family" album for some reason! It's only been about two years! Some of the paper I used is from a Rhonna Farrer paper pad, but as for the other supplies.....??? There's a Jolee's sticker on there, some vellum phrases from Studio K Quotable Notables, Scenic Route border sticker and chipboard, chipboard letters from Maya Road, rub-ons, bazzill card stock. Thanks for lookin'!

Layout 20 & 21 2010 Layout Challenge

Two more from my pile of unfinished layouts that are now complete! Yaaay! Only 99 to go!!

Layout # 19 2010 Layout Challenge

Time to get caught up with these posts! Here we are into March, and I am still trying to get my February layouts posted! This is one I had started awhile ago, in my pile of layouts needing some finishing touches from the crop in January! This paper is really old, not sure how long it's been in my stash! The chipboard trees, snowflake, joy, photo anchors, holly, etc. are all from Kelly Panacci I think! I loved that package and used a lot of it on this layout.
