This is another trifecta for the Design Dollies challenges this week! I love playing with the girls at the Dollhouse, it forces me to use colour combinations that I am not overly comfortable with but I always love the end results. It is good sometimes to venture outside your comfort zone. Plus, I usually don't have time to go out and get specific supplies for these challenges so it forces me to use up some of my stash. The colour challenge this week was to use green and silver, the element challenge was to use hearts, and then the layout is based on the sketch challenge. Check out the Dollies at http://www.designdollies.blogspot.com/ and play along with us!
Materials used: Crate Paper patterned paper, ScribbleScrabble patterned paper, silver mirror cardstock, silver heart brads, Sandylion green heart sticker on silver shimmer cardstock, CTMH black marker, black chipboard letters from Scenic Route.
I love it Roz!! The little heart is adorable. I like how you journaled around the edges! I did the heart part of the challenge and will post soon (:

ReplyDeleteWow, Roz, this is awesome! I love the concept of your page, I would never think of this, and I think I have heart brads exactly like those! Isn't it neat what you can come up with when pushed a bit?
ReplyDeleteFab trifecta!! I love ducks too :) I totally agree with your comments on the colour combo - it's great to be nudged out of your comfort zone occasionally and even better to have an excuse to use up older stash. Thanks for joining the Dollies again.
